I was wondering if there are spider eggs in bananas. My friend told me and I was wondering if that was true. I thought it was, but I'm not sure. I won't be eating bananas until I find out!!

Of course not!! Why would spiders lay their eggs in bananas, if bananas get eaten by animals (monkeys) and then the eggs would be disturbed??
If you do find any small egg-shaped balls in your banana (very unlikely) then don't eat it! Simple!!! |

If you believe your friend about this, I imagine you are rather young. Spiders have virtually no way to get inside the banana unless it was cut, deeply bruised, et cetera. but if it was cut that bad, you would not want to eat it anyway. Don't worry. If you are growing bananas at home just make sure the skin has not been cut through. This is not about spiders, but rather bacteria, worms, other bugs, and a variety of things.
