Red face help!

I like to buy a "hand" of bananas, how can I slow down the ripening for half of them?

Banana ripening is triggered by a gas (ethylene gas) that is given off by a banana when it first starts to turn yellow. Just separate half of the hand (if they're all green) and don't let them be near the others.
Bananas can also ripen faster if you put them in a paper sack and punch a few little holes in it.
